About the Artist
Jocelyn Eleanor is an Oakland-based artist working in watercolor, ink, and mixed media on paper and canvas.
Her work is rooted in a lifelong fascination with the natural world and the sense of wonder it inspires. Drawn to color, pattern, and organic forms, she finds endless inspiration in the beauty all around her, from tide pools and marine life to plants, flowers, fungi, the way light shifts through the garden as the day passes, and even the faraway galaxies overhead.
She is particularly fascinated by the recurring shapes, rhythms, and patterns that appear throughout nature, linking seemingly different forms and reminding us of our connection to the living world.
Through painting, she explores moments of curiosity, wonder, and connection, creating luminous works that invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and discover something new each time they return.
Each piece is created slowly and intentionally as an invitation to wonder.
